Ready to discover the birds of Portland? Whether you’re completely new to birdwatching or just curious about the birds in your neighborhood, I’d love to guide you through your first steps into this amazing hobby.
I lead relaxed, beginner-friendly birding trips all around the greater Portland metro area. I know plenty of great spots and will tailor each outing to your interests, comfort level, and curiosity—whether that’s learning the basics, spotting specific birds, or simply enjoying some time in nature.
I’m happy to adjust for all mobility levels—whether you’re up for a short, flat trail or a longer day of exploration. Bring your questions, and I’ll bring the binoculars, scope, and local birding know-how. Kids and families welcome!

- 5+ pairs of moderately fancy binoculars to borrow
- A high-quality spotting scope for awesome long-range views
- Kid-sized binoculars for young birders
- Friendly, judgment-free birding guidance

10am–4pm, any day
- $70 for one person
- Group up to 5: $110 total
