5/17 Crystal Springs Rhodie Garden
May 17, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Borrow a pair of my binoculars & join me to learn the meditative joys of bird watching.
Crystal Springs is home to 100+ species of birds, secretive otters, chunky squirrels & a beautiful rhododendron garden surrounded by a lake.
We’ll meet at the entrance of Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, where I will pay for your entrance fee.
I’ll provide you with binoculars, teach you how to use them, and we will explore a mile of paved (and compacted gravel) trails. I’ll teach you a few bird calls as well as point out the different species we see and hear, and answer any questions you have about bird watching and birds.
This tour is designed for beginners, but I welcome all levels of bird enthusiasts! Want to focus on birding by ear, bird photography? Let me know!
In our hour and half of bird watching we should see 20+ different species of birds, many plants, and possibly an otter, mink, nutria or even a squirrel.
Accessibility is my priority so please know I am willing to adapt my experience based on your level of mobility/ability.
