Townsend’s Warbler (m) by Becky Matsubara is licensed under CC BY 2.0 edited by METhese are our most common forest dwelling warblers. Yellow Rumps and Townsend’s warblers will stay year around (though in fewer numbers.) The others are all migrants (and this isn’t even all of them!) Orange crowns are typically the first to arrive and will sing high from the treetops. Look for other birds searching for bugs to eat among the budding vine maples.
